in Service
recruits, trains and places volunteers in order to
provide support and assistance so that at-risk children
can reach their full potential and the elderly can
maintain their independence in the least restrictive,
safe environment.
Our History
Seniors in Service of Tampa Bay, Inc. was
incorporated by the State of Florida in 1984 as a
private, not-for-profit corporation with federal
501(c)(3) status. Since its inception, Seniors in
Service’s client base has increased over 400 percent and
its programming has tripled, with services that extend
into Hillsborough, Polk and Pinellas counties.
Our Impact
Over 3.75 million hours of volunteer
service have been provided to the Tampa
Bay
area in the last 23 years. Annually, Seniors in
Service’s volunteers provide approximately 125,000 hours
of companionship and assistance to elderly clients and
nearly 150,000 hours of service to improve
the educational and social skills of
vulnerable children. |
